Body Stress Release is relatively new to the United Kingdom and
there are only 12 practitioner currently working in the country.
However, these practitioners see many people with all sorts of
symptoms. It is possible that this treatment will not work for some
people, but thankfully very few have not been able to find relief
from a BSR consultation.
On the contrary, the majority of those who experience a 'Release'
can't help but spend the rest of the week with a smile on their
face. Often they feel the need to tell their story and educate
those who are still suffering where traditional and alternative
medicines may have failed
them.
The following clients have been good enough to allow us to publish their
own experience on our site so that you can get a 'feel' for the wide range
of relief Body Stress Release can bring.

"My neck
and back hurt all the time" Sara Denman, 43, from Ascot,
Berkshire. The first time I injured my neck was when I was working
as a nurse and I foolishly lifted a patient by myself.
I heard my neck click and, that evening, it went into agonizing
spasms. I had physiotherapy, but for the first few weeks I could
hardly move. Fortunately I was well enough to get married seven
weeks later but I never went back to nursing because of the injury
to my neck.
When I got pregnant a year after Clive and I married, my lower back
became very painful. I was told this was because of my neck injury
and had physiotherapy again. I had three more children and my back
problems got worse with each pregnancy. Acupuncture helped for a
while, and I tried yoga but it wasn't right for me and I was in
agony.
Three years ago Clive and I started our own marketing business. Now
I have to sit at a desk all day and my back was hurting all the
time. My homeopath, who I see for other reasons, recommended I see a
therapist, Paul Masureik, who practices a brand-new technique that
originated in South Africa called Body Stress Release. At my first
appointment I lay on my front, fully clothed on a bed. Paul ran
his hands over my vertebrae and gently stimulated the muscles by
stroking and pressing them. It was the gentlest, most pain-free
treatment I'd ever had but I felt much better after the first
session. My neck felt freer and I had more energy. Each session
lasts about 30 minutes and costs £25 and, at first, I went every
few days, but now I go about once a month. I'm fine now but I still
go because the treatment is so relaxing! I was always wary of my
back before and couldn't do any vigorous exercise. Now I can go to
aerobics without worrying, so I'm much fitter, too.

"For at least 10 years, I suffered
from tennis elbow. Each year, I would visit my GP for a steroid
injection. This would alleviate the symptoms, a constant dull pain
in the elbow, plus a moment of indescribable agony should anyone touch my
elbow or should it so much as lightly brush against a wall or doorframe.
These injections may have masked the problem, but they certainly didn't
solve it. After a few months, the effects would wear off and I would
return to the doctor for another. He would always express concern at the
amount of steroids entering my body, but seemed unable to suggest an
alternative.
I am a radio presenter, and Paul came on my program to talk about Body Stress
Release in our regular Health feature. I have interviewed any number of
complementary practitioners and generally remain fairly sceptical, but when
Paul said he could solve my problem, I thought: 'What have I got to lose?'
After just one session, my arm was 80% better, and after the initial
course of treatment, it was completely cured. Ever since, I have
been able to prod or bang my elbow as hard as I would any other part of my
body without the slightest trace of pain. Similarly, the constant
dull throb is but a memory.
Several years on, I visit Paul for a maintenance session once every three
months, just to be on the safe side.
I am astounded at how successful Body Stress Release has been for me, and
delighted not to have to choose between regularly having foreign
substances pumped into my body or putting up with constant pain.

'I didn't go
to the session with any particular illness, Just a sense that I was
feeling a bit stressed. My therapist, Paul Masureik, didn't claim
that he could cure anything that may be silently lurking, just that
helping the body to release long-held stresses would improve my
sense of well being.
I was reassured that Paul took a detailed history of my health, job
and lifestyle before starting the treatment, and talked about how
they could affect the tension locked into my body. 'I lay down on a
couch, fully clothed, and Paul started to apply light but firm
pressure all down my back. As he did this, he checked the length of
my legs. This seemed strange but he explained that he was doing a
series of muscle tests that would tell him where any stress in my
body was focused. Manipulating these located points then stimulates
the body's own defense mechanisms to let go of any of the tension
being stored. 'He then worked all over my back, spine, shoulders and
neck, using light pressure in the directions that he felt I needed
to release stored tension. During the consultation, I mentioned that
I had problems with my shoulder blade and he worked on that point,
too.
'I definitely felt better and I was very relaxed during the session,
although the pain did come back later. What I noticed, more than
anything, was that after both sessions I had a fantastic night's
sleep, much better than I've had for ages. I also noticed that I
felt fine after the treatment, which is unusual for me. I've had
osteopathy and physiotherapy before and I have always felt 'ill' for
a while afterwards, but that didn't happen this time.'

A year ago I was a stooped old lady of 63 years who found it difficult to
stand and walk very far.
I had got to the stage where everything was so painful, I felt life was
not worth living. I have
arthritis and was waiting for a knee replacement and because was walking
so badly felt as if I was seizing up, my legs and back were so painful. I
had numerous steroid injections in my knees, hips and facet joints with
little or no benefit.
A
friend recommended that I try Body Stress Release I called Paul who saw me
the next morning. I was very very sceptical that a complementary treatment
would help me as my GP had really tried to help me with physiotherapy,
they recommended a tens machine but this did not work for me. Painkillers
and anti-inflammatory drugs did not seem to help at all.
Paul,
after listening to my tale of woe proceeded to explain that he was trying
to located locked in body stress, he then ran his hands up and down my
back with more pressure at some points and very gradually the muscle
spasms and tense muscles in my legs & back eased. In the beginning I
went every week and can honestly say I looked forward to each release. I
had my knee replacement done privately, because by now I was feeling so
much better in myself I wanted to get back to living my life not just
existing.
Paul
has often said he wishes he had taken a before and after picture because I
look and feel so different, most gratifying of all is my family and
friends say how much younger I look.
I
still go to Paul for BSR release every month or so, because I feel so much
better after each release and don’t want to go back to how I felt before
I started to have BSR. I still get painful areas but Paul always locates
the areas of tension and releases them. I cannot praise Body Stress
Release & Paul too highly. I feel a new woman and just wish I had
visited him sooner.
